Nahanni: River of Forgiveness

52' & 94’ | English & French Versions | 4K

The Nahanni River in Canada’s Northwest Territories runs through one of the wildest, most beautiful and fascinating landscapes in the world. Celebrated as Canada’s Grand Canyon, the Nahanni is within the traditional territory of the Dehcho Dene First Nations. In June 2018, a group of 16 people from various Dene families will seek to reconnect with the spirit of their ancestors and renew their culture by recreating an epic journey through their most sacred land: 400 km in 21 days on a traditional moose skin boat.
